Martha’s Vineyard Museum Announces 2025 Global Rhythms Summer Concert Series
[VINEYARD HAVEN, MA] – June, 2025 – The Martha’s Vineyard Museum is thrilled to present the 2025 Global Rhythms Summer Concert Series, a vibrant weekly celebration of music and culture that reflects the rich diversity of our Island community. Held every Wednesday evening from July 2 through August 27, the series invites audiences to experience the varied sounds and stories from our Island’s cultural mosaic in an inviting, family-friendly atmosphere.
Each week, the Museum’s Bodman Courtyard transforms into a lively gathering space where attendees can enjoy performances by talented artists representing a range of musical traditions. The series is presented in partnership with MVYRADIO, the Island’s independent, nonprofit radio station. As headlining sponsor, MVYRADIO brings its long-standing commitment to connecting the community through music to this unique summer celebration.
From the Celtic melodies of the Misfits of Avalon to the Pan-Latin rhythms of Sol y Canto, the lineup promises something for everyone. Other featured performers include Israeli bassist Ehud Ettun, folk duo Molly & Mark, Eastern European folklorist Jan Hulka, soulful duo Allie & Paryss, local favorites Peter Halperin & The Group Therapy Band, and a special tribute by the Jim Thomas Spirituals Choir.
“Global Rhythms is more than just a concert series; it’s a cultural experience meant to unite and inspire our community through the universal language of music,” said Laurel Redington, Director of Programming and Audience Engagement. “We’re excited to showcase such a dynamic range of artists, each bringing their own unique flavor to the Island’s already rich music scene.”
Concerts take place every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM on the Museum grounds at 151 Lagoon Pond Road, Vineyard Haven. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, or lawn chairs to enjoy the performances in comfort.
