End of North Water Street, Edgartown
Address: 121 North Water Street

Major renovations completed in 2007, including installation of a staircase to the lantern room, allow the interior of the Edgartown Light to be open to visitors. A lighthouse keeper will be available and the doors will be open during designated hours. Parking is available, but limited, on North Water Street. The Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) busses drop off on Church Street in Edgartown. It is a 10 minute walk to the lighthouse from this location.

To learn more about the Light, enjoy Martha’s Vineyard Magazine’s “Illuminating Lighthouses.”

The lighthouse is closed for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is still available for private rental if the proposed gathering complies with all state and local guidelines during this time.

The Children’s Memorial Ceremony of Remembrance is still scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19th at 1pm, with a rain date of September 26th.

We look forward to welcoming visitors back into the lighthouse when it is safe to do so.
