Everyone Has to Eat! Taste and Learn About Island-Raised Meat

Everyone Has to Eat! Taste and Learn About Island-Raised Meat

Join us on Tuesday, April 22 as Jo Douglas—the force behind Fork to Pork and Leaf to Beef—shares her journey from vegetarian to farmer, and how she now nourishes the Island community with responsibly raised, local meat. By utilizing open pastures on both public and private lands, Jo raises grass-fed cattle and creatively tackles food waste by feeding restaurant scraps to her pigs. Those pigs, in turn, become the pork featured on menus across the Vineyard.

Jo will bring samples of her locally raised meats, expertly prepared by Island Chef Gina Stanley, for attendees to enjoy.

Fun Fact: Jo is also the Island’s first female Zamboni driver at the MV Ice Arena!

Tickets: $30 each
