3rd Annual Earth Day Festival
The Martha’s Vineyard Museum is proud to announce the return of the Earth Day Festival!
This annual celebration brings together the many Island organizations dedicated to preserving, protecting, and sustaining Martha’s Vineyard’s waters, natural spaces, and biodiversity.
Join us on Saturday, April 19 from 12 to 3 PM for a day of learning, connection, and community action. Meet with staff and volunteers from over twenty participating organizations, explore their important work, and discover ways to get involved. Engage with hands-on activities celebrating Spring with touch-tanks, live reptiles, seed planting, up-cycled crafts and lawn games.
The festival will take place on the Museum’s grounds, with free admission for all attendees, allowing visitors to enjoy both the Museum’s exhibits and the day’s activities. The Vineyard Conservation Society’s Post-Earth Day Beach Clean-up Celebration will also be happening—another great opportunity to engage with local environmental efforts.
Participating organizations include: BiodiversityWorks, Friends of Sengekontacket, Great Pond Foundation, Island Grown Initiative, Lagoon Pond Association, Martha’s Vineyard Garden Club, Martha’s Vineyard Shellfish Group, Mass Audubon Felix Neck, MV Fisherman’s Preservation Trust, The Nature Conservancy Martha’s Vineyard, Sense of Wonder Creations, Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation, Vineyard Conservation Society, Vineyard Power, Polly Hill Arboretum, Trustees | Martha’s Vineyard, Tisbury Waterways, Inc., Beach Befrienders, Island Climate Action Network, MV Commission, and MV Museum.
