Reopening Guidelines at MVM
The health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff is, and will remain, our top priority. A number of protocols and cleaning procedures have been put in place to ensure the safest experience possible, and we continue to consult with local officials to ensure we are doing everything we can.
We strongly encourage social distancing across the campus at all times. Anyone entering the campus must wear a mask or face covering, even if you’re outside. Masks are not provided. Hand sanitizer stations are set up at various points throughout the buildings for your convenience. If you wish to tour the buildings, stickers on the floor will guide you along a safe path to help ensure social distancing. The entire building is cleaned daily with higher touch areas more frequently throughout the day. Currently we are not using our timed entry system during the quieter winter months and remain far below the state mandated occupancy levels. You do not need a reservation to visit.
When visiting, we will ask for your name, phone number, and email in the event we are notified of a positive case of COVID-19. This information will be collected in advance using our timed entry system or on a sanitized iPad when you arrive. We will not share this data with anyone other than the Tisbury Board of Health, and only in the event of a positive case.
Restrooms are available on the main floor and in the basement. They are sanitized frequently.
We are currently not offering tours at this time. Please check back soon.
If you wish to picnic on our lawn, come up and read a book, or just take in our gorgeous view, please maintain social distancing. If you create trash, please make sure to place any trash and recyclables in the receptacles placed around the campus. You are welcome to enjoy the lawn outside of our open hours. Please refrain from visiting between sunset and sunrise. If you wish to check on the current activity on the front lawn before coming up, you can look at the Wortman Webcam at any time.
A task force on reopening the campus was formed that will continue to meet throughout the pandemic. If at any time you have suggestions on how to improve the health and safety beyond the measures already implemented, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 508-684-8757.
