Global Rhythms Summer Concert Series Returns to Martha’s Vineyard Museum
[VINEYARD HAVEN, MA] – MAY, 2026 – The Martha’s Vineyard Museum will once again host its Global Rhythms Summer Concert Series, a weekly live music experience celebrating the diverse cultural traditions that shape the Island community. Presented in partnership with MVYRADIO, the series runs Wednesday evenings from July through August, 5:00–7:00 p.m., in the Museum’s Bodman Courtyard.
Bringing together local favorites and internationally recognized musicians, Global Rhythms offers more than live performance. Each evening invites audiences to experience music as a form of storytelling—connecting sound, place, and cultural identity in an intimate, outdoor setting near Vineyard Haven Harbor.
“Global Rhythms is about more than music—it’s about connection,” said Laurel Redington, Director of Programming & Audience Engagement at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum. “Having spent much of my life with MVYRADIO, this series is especially meaningful to me. This year’s lineup is the strongest we’ve ever had, bringing together artists whose music is rooted in tradition, shaped by experience, and meant to be shared.”
The 2026 lineup opens on July 1 with Misfits of Avalon, whose Celtic-inspired sound blends traditional Irish influences with Island-rooted storytelling . Additional performances include the rare performance from Vineyard favorites Kahoots, the return of acclaimed Latin fusion duo Sol y Canto, and a Latin jazz collaboration featuring Joel Harrison, Stan Strickland, and Friends. The series continues with performances by The KabuJazz Trio featuring Cândida Rose, Allie & Paryss, The Rubin Brothers, Isaac Taylor, and Kemp Harris, offering a wide-ranging exploration of global rhythms, genres, and traditions.
Concerts begin at 5:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. General admission is $20 per concert, and admission is free for Gen Z and under (born 1998 or later). A season pass is available for $150 and includes entry to all nine performances, including the Mid-Summer Celebration. .
With its combination of world-class music, Island-based talent, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, Global Rhythms continues to be a highlight of the summer season at the Museum.
