MEMBERSHIP CARDS
Beginning May 1, 2026, Martha’s Vineyard Museum memberships include digital membership cards and digital guest passes. Find answers to common questions below, or contact membership@mvmuseum.org for assistance.
DO I NEED TO HAVE A MEMBERSHIP CARD?
You do not need to have a membership card to visit the Martha’s Vineyard Museum. Our Visitor Services team can look up the status of your membership upon your arrival. If you wish to gain free access to the Edgartown Lighthouse, you will need a card. If you have a membership level that gives you access to reciprocal museums, you will need a membership card to access those museums.
IS MY CURRENT PHYSICAL MEMBERSHIP CARD STILL VALID?
Yes, as long as your membership has not expired. For new / renewed members starting May 1, 2026, we have transitioned to digital membership cards and digital guest passes.
I DON’T HAVE A SMART PHONE. HOW CAN I GET A MEMBERSHIP CARD?
Our visitor services team can print one for you during your next visit to the MV Museum. You can also send an email to membership@mvmuseum.org, and we can email a copy to you.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP CARD?
You may download your digital membership card to your Apple or Google digital wallet (click here for instructions) or install the MembershipAnywhere eMembership app (click here for instructions). You may also send an email to membership@mvmuseum.org, and we can email a copy to you.
I’M HAVING TROUBLE DOWNLOADING/ACCESSING MY DIGITAL CARDS VIA THE WALLET OR THE APP. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Next time you come to the Museum, our visitor services team will be happy to help you. You can also send an email to membership@mvmuseum.org, and we can email a copy to you.
DIGITAL GUESS PASSES
HOW DO I ACCESS AND SHARE MY GUEST PASSES?
Once you download your digital membership card, your guest passes can be viewed and shared via your Apple or Google digital wallet or the MembershipAnywhere app (click here for instructions). Alternatively, you can arrive with your guests and Visitor Services will look up and validate your guest passes. If your guests are coming on their own, you can send an email to frontdesk@mvmuseum.org with the names of your guests coming to the Museum.
CAN I STILL USE MY PAPER GUEST PASSES?
Yes, any previously issued paper guest passes will still be accepted.
DO DIGITAL GUEST PASSES HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?
Digital guest passes have an expiration date equivalent to your membership expiration date. You will receive two new guest passes when you renew your membership. Any unused digital guest passes that expire will no longer be accessible.
