Tick Free Martha’s Vineyard: Building an Island-Wide Strategy

Tick Free Martha’s Vineyard: Building an Island-Wide Strategy

Part V of our “Ticks on the Vineyard: What We Know” Online Information Series

Join us for an introduction to Tick Free MV, a new nonprofit working to make Martha’s Vineyard safer from tick-borne disease and allergies. This talk offers a timely opportunity to learn about a local effort focused on practical, science-based solutions shaped by the Island community.

Virginia Barbatti, Executive Director, will share how the organization was formed, what it hopes to accomplish, and its theory of change for reducing tick populations on the Island. She will also explain how Tick Free MV convenes key stakeholders across the Island to create the conditions for collective impact, including coordinating efforts and developing a shared Island-wide strategy.

Attendees will hear what is being done in the organization’s first year and how individuals can get involved.

A Q&A will follow.
