The Changing Story of American Home Cooking

August 11 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join The Vineyard Gazette and Cook The Vineyard for a panel discussion – with Dawn Davis, editor-in-chief of Bon Appetit; Sam Sifton, food editor of The New York Times; and Dr. Jessica B. Harris, historian and author. Moderated by Susie Middleton, editor of Cook the Vineyard – followed by a box lunch and a toast to honor Dr.  Harris on her James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award.

The definition of American cuisine depends in large part on who is telling the story. This panel focuses on the role the food media has traditionally played in elevating one narrative of American home cooking over another and how that is beginning to change.

$85 per person. Ticket includes admission to the panel and boxed lunch. Click here to purchase tickets.
