A Childhood on the Edgartown Waterfront

A Childhood on the Edgartown Waterfront

Join Steve Ewing, Edgartown’s first poet laureate and longtime town moderator, for stories rooted in a lifetime spent along Edgartown Harbor. A gifted storyteller with a deep affection for the Island, Steve reflects on growing up in Edgartown during the 1950s and the adventures, people, and waterfront traditions that shaped his connection to the harbor. Through personal memories and thoughtful observations, he shares how the harbor—and the Island itself—has changed over time while, in many ways, remaining wonderfully familiar.

Please note: We regret that the historic Cooke House is not ADA-compliant and cannot accommodate mobility aids. This program is presented in historical costume from a modern perspective.
