Inside Edgartown Lighthouse: Keepers, Families, and History

Join Deborah Medders for a closer look at the stories behind the iconic Edgartown Lighthouse. From its origins in Ipswich and relocation to Edgartown Harbor to the keepers and families who lived there, this talk explores how the lighthouse became a defining part of the Island’s maritime landscape. Drawing on more than a decade interpreting Martha’s Vineyard lighthouses as a Museum docent, Deborah shares insights shaped by a lifelong fascination with these historic structures.
