From First Cast to Hall of Fame: Ron Domurat
Ron Domurat has fished the Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass & Bluefish Derby since 1982, building a remarkable record that includes more than 100 daily pins, seven Hat Tricks, a Grand Slam, and multiple division and Top Rod awards. In 2025, he was inducted into the Derby Hall of Fame.
For this Legends of the Line talk, Domurat reflects on more than four decades of Derby fishing, from the people and places that shaped his time on the water to the stories behind his collection of daily pins. He will also share what first drew him to fishing, why the Derby continues to matter, and the lessons he has passed along to younger fishermen.
