Poetry in Motion: The Interplay of Word and Dance
All poetry begins in the body. Both poetry and dance work within a framework bordered by silence, both incorporate breath, metaphor, and rhythm. Perhaps most importantly both are attempts to express the ineffable. Join us in the Rose Styron Garden on Sunday, August 30th, for this gathering which is an experiment in which to explore the rich interplay between poetry and dance through five pieces by Island dancers.
Followed by tea and cake as we wrap up the season’s poetry series.
