Lunch Lecture: MVM Hidden Treasures

Lunch Lecture: MVM Hidden Treasures

A New Style of Lunch Lecture Begins Friday February 7th at 12 PM

We’re excited to introduce a fresh take on lunch lectures. Attendees will receive a $5 voucher to use at the First Light Café, allowing you to choose your own lunch!

For our first lecture of 2025, Research Librarian Bow Van Riper will present “MVM Hidden Treasures.”

Museum collections are like icebergs: ninety percent (or more) of their contents are invisible. While MV Museum works hard to showcase lesser-seen parts of its holdings through exhibits, loans, programs, and social media, thousands of items in the Museum’s vaults remain rarely viewed.

Join Bow Van Riper—research librarian, archivist, and historian—for a fascinating introduction to some of these hidden objects and the stories behind them. If you loved Bow’s “Hidden Collections” series on Zoom, don’t miss this opportunity to experience it live and in person!

MVM Members: $20; Non-Members: $30.
