Global Rhythms: Jan Hulka

Global Rhythms: Jan Hulka

Celebrate the vibrant cultures that shape our Island community through music and storytelling. Each week, world-class musicians take the stage to share not only their sound, but the personal and cultural stories behind it. Join us Wednesday evenings this summer for a series that moves to the beat of connection, tradition, and discovery.

THIS EVENING’S PERFORMANCE: Jan Hulka is a multi-instrumentalist and folklorist whose work bridges the old and new worlds of Eastern Europe. Hulka brings to life the rich traditions of his heritage through soulful melodies, percussive rhythms, and deeply personal narratives.

Blending folk instruments, contemporary compositions, and spoken word, Hulka’s performance is both a concert and a cultural journey—drawing from his roots and his experiences as a cultural ambassador and educator. Audiences will hear traditional songs passed down through generations, alongside original works that reflect his evolving identity and global perspective.

Tickets: $20 per person; Season passes available; Gen Z is FREE (bring ID)
