From her beginnings on the clip desk to her role as a photo editor and Director of Photography at Time–Life Books, Littles played a vital role in crafting the visual narratives of the 20th century—at a time when few Black women held such influence.
Through her story, the exhibition also reveals the Vineyard’s unexpected role as a gathering place for Life photographers, editors, and creative leaders.
