The Crunch: Demo Derby Car Building Workshop for Kids
Inspired by The Crunch exhibition, this hands-on workshop invites children to design and build their own demolition derby car using paper mâché and mixed materials. Guided by Museum Educators, participants will shape, decorate, and name their creations before testing them out on an indoor track.
Children (ages 6+) can be dropped off for this full morning workshop, allowing plenty of time to complete their projects and enjoy supervised play in the Museum’s kid-friendly spaces. Each participant will take home their finished “Crunch Car.”
Following the workshop, the classroom will transform into a “Crunch for Kids” play space, open Friday afternoon and throughout the weekend. Children can race toy cars—or bring their own—through a classroom-sized demolition derby course. Safe crashing and creative play encouraged.
$50 per person; additional details to follow in advance of event.
