Join Island historian, retired cemetery commissioner, and Vineyard History Tours owner Liz Villard for a walking tour of West Tisbury Village Cemetery, also known as “Dead Man’s Corner.”
Located on State Road, halfway between the Agricultural Hall and Alley’s General Store, this historic cemetery is home to generations of West Tisbury residents. Villard will share stories drawn from the headstones of some of the Island’s most notable and eccentric figures, including Nancy Luce (1814–1890), widely known as the Chicken Lady of Martha’s Vineyard.
