Join Island historian, retired cemetery commissioner, and Vineyard History Tours owner Liz Villard for a walking tour of Old Village Graveyard in Vineyard Haven.
Founded around 1770, this privately owned cemetery is maintained by the Town of Tisbury and holds the stories of many of Vineyard Haven’s early residents. Villard will guide participants through the grounds, using its headstones to trace the people, families, and moments that shaped the town’s history.
Tisbury Village Graveyard is located at Center St & Franklin Street, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.
