Acquisition Information
Gift of Anne Cummings and Barbara Murphy, daughters of Mary Reed Thomas, former member and president of the Triad Club. Triad Club address (Box 1, Folder 16) was found after processing in a survey of uncataloged materials. It was relocated to RU491 but its relation to to the rest of the collection could not be confirmed. Its immediate source of acquisition is unknown.

Biography/Historical Note
The Triad Club was founded in 1908 in Oak Bluffs Massachusetts as a women's social organization. The three-pronged goal of the organization was improvement, information, and sociability. The club's name was derived from the fact that the goal was three-faceted.The organization would become involved in charitable activities into the 1980s, helping to fund scholarships for local students.

The collection contains material from the activities of the Triad Club in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts from 1908-1981. It includes records, correspondence, yearbooks, newspaper clippings, and photographs.
